Hansel Rodriguez

Role: Chief Executive Officer

Experience: Hansel currently sits as Chief Executive Officer of COARE Companies, an alternative asset manager focused on niche investment strategies. Prior to COARE, Hansel worked as an Associate at Eastdil Secured, the premier real-estate investment banking and investment sales firm headquartered in New York. At Eastdil, Hansel supported the acquisition and disposition of complex NNN office and nuanced sale-leaseback portfolio transactions ranging from $100 Million - $1.0 Billion of size. Prior to Eastdil, Hansel spent 3 years in corporate advisory supporting large public takeovers of Building Products & Homebuilding companies at Wells Fargo Securities. During his tenure, Hansel supported the advisory efforts of numerous transactions including Stanley Black & Decker's $1.9 Billion takeover of Newell Tools. Prior to Wells Fargo, Hansel began his real-estate career in multi-family and affordable housing development at Taft Development Group, a multi-family developer with 4,500+ MF units and 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial developments to date. Prior to Taft, Hansel worked in leasing and property management at Education Realty Trust (“EDR”), the pioneer of student housing which was subsequently acquired by Greystar in 2018 for $4.6 Billion.

Fun Facts: Hansel volunteers on the Friends of St. Jude's fundraising committee for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and serves as a Disaster Response Volunteer for the American Red Cross. 

Rob Libertini

Role: Director of Capital Markets

Experience: Robert has extensive experience in structuring equity, mezzanine and debt transactions for commercial real estate projects. He leads capital formation efforts for the Firm. Previously, Robert was head of Capital Markets at Mattoni Group, where he was responsible for capital raising and investor relations, including creating a programmatic JV with a global institutional credit fund company. He also served as Managing Director at Lloyd Jones Capital, focusing on institutional joint-venture equity and capital raising strategies for value-add multifamily apartment projects. Earlier, Robert was a founding member and Senior Managing Director at Cabrera Capital Markets, where he contributed to the development of each of the Firm’s major business lines. His career began with financial roles at Unilever and Cumberland Farms-Gulf Oil, and he was also a board member for Joyent, a cloud computing start-up, that was sold in 2016. And he has served as a board member at Cabrera Capital Markets since 2007. Robert holds FINRA licenses 7, 24, 27 & 63.

Fun Facts: Enjoys reading theology and philosophy texts in his spare time, hiking in the hills of New England, studying Latin again to read about the Punic & Gallic wars again in Latin as he did in high school.

Raj Kaur

Role: Financial Controller

Experience: Raj joined COARE with 9 years of accounting experience across traditional Private Equity and Real-Estate principal investments. Prior to COARE, Raj served as a Senior Fund Accountant at H.I.G. Capital, a global private equity firm with over $65 Billion of capital under management. During her tenure, Raj was responsible for fund accounting on $7 Billion in assets across 5 credit funds. Her responsibilities included leading the junior accounting team, preparing accurate accounting and efficient cash management, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, maintaining compliance with GAAP and SEC, and supporting investment professionals with funding. Prior to that, Raj worked as a Senior Accountant at Priderock Capital Investments, a private real estate manager with $760 Million of Assets Under Management. Her responsibilities included managing investor relations, preparing comprehensive financial reporting, leading the auditing process, and supervising accounts receivable and accounts payable departments. Prior to that, Raj served as an Accountant at Sterling Organization, a private real-estate owner, and managed accounting for 15 shopping centers.

Fun Facts: Raj loves the outdoors, including running half marathons. Raj is a strong supporter of environmental causes and volunteers locally in Miami-Dade for beach and city cleanup activities.
